The macroscopic alignment of nanosized liquid crystal domains in a polymer matrix with helical order is demonstrated by H. Yoshida and co‐workers on page 256. The alignment can be switched to induce a change in the effective refractive index. Nanosizing of liquid crystal domains enables access to fast reorientation dynamics (˜10 μs), while helical order is retained in the polymer matrix, resulting in deformationfree tuning of the Bragg reflection band.
