Unlocking the hydrogen storage properties of high capacity hydrides is crucial for the widespread adoption of hydrogen based technologies. Controlling the organisation of hydrogen with the host material at the atomic scale holds the key to this issue. Novel techniques and approaches to enable this through promising nanosizing and core‐shell approaches are critically reviewed in article number 1700298 by Qiwen Lai, Kondo‐François Aguey‐Zinsou and co‐workers.
