Photoluminescent and superhydrophobic [Eu(Phen) 2 ] 3+ ‐laponite/polypropylene film exhibits enhanced fluorescent properties with long‐term stability under conditions of high humidity. It is due to the synergistic effects of i) the water repellency of the superhydrophobic surface, ii) the reduced self‐quenching of fluorescent Eu(Phen) 2 complex by stabilized interlayer space of laponite as a molecular level, and iii) the water vapor barriers.
