Surface functionalization of carbon dots (CDs) can impart novel properties for specific applications in many fields. Here, CDs are functionalized with polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) to enhance the photoluminescence and thermalstability. The use of CDs@POSS as a composite filler, fluorescent liquid marble, and solid‐state fluorescent sensor is demonstrated.
