The emerging field of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) polymerization has addressed many challenges related to the sustainable development of energy, water, food, and medicine. K. K. Gleason and co‐workers review in article 1400117 the research on initiated and oxidative CVD – solventfree methods that allow conformal and substrateindependent growth of functional polymer interfaces. Simplicity and versatility of these processes is depicted by the blue line coating.
