The feasibility of cellular‐architecture‐based lightweight materials for advanced applications has been extensively explored. In article number 1803670, Pil J. Yoo and co‐workers provide an overview of the development of lightweight cellular materials according to their structural interconnectivity (e.g., open and closed cells) and the randomness of the internal pores (e.g., stochastic and periodic), whereby the relation between the structural characteristics and the resulting mechanical properties is well elucidated.
