2D van der Waals (vdW) magnets, which present intrinsic ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic ground states down to atomic‐layer thicknesses, have recently become focused members in the large family of 2D materials. In article number 1900065, Shuangchen Ruan, Yu‐Jia Zeng, and Hui Li, review recent state‐of‐the‐art characterization and tuning of the magnetic properties of various 2D vdW magnets and discuss perspectives in the fields of spintronics.
