In article number 1803925 , Robert Langer, Ana Jaklenec, and co‐workers demonstrate a biofilm‐inspired encapsulation of probiotics using alginate to confer temporary antibiotic protection to susceptible probiotics. This enables the coadministration of probiotics and antibiotics, which can potentially overcome antimicrobial resistance. The efficacy of this approach is demonstrated in vitro where two highly pathogenic bacteria found in chronic wounds are completely eradicated.
