For multistep tandem reactions, more than one type of active catalysts are normally required at different chemical transformation stages. Nowadays, multiple catalytically active components can be facilely integrated into a supported or encapsulated nanomaterials system, or their combinations. In article number 1802094 , Hua Chun Zeng and co‐workers review four major types of advanced nanocatalysts, general rules of architectural design and synthetic strategies. The future research direction in this field is also outlined.
