In article number 1803334 , Dirk Mohr and co‐workers develop exceptionally stiff metamaterials by placing plates on the close‐packed planes of cubic crystals. The latter are combined in a way that the resulting plate‐lattices feature nearly isotropic stiffness and strength. It is shown theoretically, numerically, and experimentally that their stiffness is more than twice as high as that of truss‐lattices of equal weight.
