In article number 1800475 , Chunmeng Shi and co‐workers present a new strategy, based on an NIR fluorophore, to induce tumoricidal endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress for tumor diagnostic and targeted therapy by targeting the mitochondrial protein. The multifunctional NIR fluorophore may also strengthen the idea that mitochondria could be a useful target for therapeutic ER stress in cancer cells.
