Novel reversible photochromic materials consisting of bespoke poly(ionic liquid) matrices and hybrid organic–inorganic polyoxometalates are presented by Graham N. Newton, Victor Sans, and co‐workers in article number 1800159 . The unique photo and redox properties of the nanostructured polyoxometalates are translated across the scales (from molecular design to functional materials) to yield macroscopic functional devices with reversible photochromism.
