A color schematic illustration of a wireless antenna at different points in time is shown as it undergoes a programmed sequence of functional transformation (i.e., changes in resonant frequency) due to the controlled dissolution of selected critical segments. This system represents a simple example where physical transience in certain areas of a piece of integrated electronics leads to engineered changes in function with time or ambient cues, with potential for advanced applications in biomedicine, environmental sensors, and autonomous devices, as shown by J. A. Rogers and co‐workers on page 47.
