A new method of imaging of temperature distributions is presented. The method is based on the use of a BiLu 2 Fe 4 GaO 12 ferrimagnetic garnet layer as a pyro‐magneto‐optical detection layer. Thermal imaging with high sensitivity, with micrometer spatial and with millisecond temporal resolution is demonstrated in a contactless read‐out scheme.
