A new label‐free optical sensing mechanism is demonstrated experimentally by Qihuang Gong, Yun‐Feng Xiao, and co‐workers on page 5616, by monitoring the mode broadening in whispering gallery microcavities. This new sensing is not only immune to both noise from the probe laser and environmental disturbances, but is also able to remove the strict requirement for ultra‐high‐Q microcavities for sensitive nanoparticle detection.
