The image shows intrinsically multicolored and luminescent silk produced by silkworms that have consumed various fluorescent dyes. Methods to produce such colored and luminescent silks through post‐dyeing and biological methods are reviewed on page 1388 by M.‐Y. Han and coworkers. In particular, the properties, utility, and versatility of the functional silk are highlighted, as well as the molecular property‐dependent incorporation of various materials into silk while it is being secreted by silkworms.
