The cover image represents an inside view of a laser‐activated gold nanorod/chitosan film. Gold nanorods dispersed throughout the polymeric chitosan matrix absorb incident near‐infrared laser light. The photothermal conversion from the gold nanorods activates the surrounding chitosan strands to mediate functional adhesion with biological tissue, as discussed in work reported on p. 4313 by Paolo Matteini and co‐workers.
