A room‐temperature magnet of V[MeTCEC] 2 ·0.6(CH 2 Cl 2 ) composition (MeTCEC = methyl tricyanoethylenecarboxylate) is formed by the reaction of MeTCEC and V(CO) 6 (see figure). Analysis of the magnetization indicates a less disordered structure of V[MeTCEC] 2 ·0.6(CH 2 Cl 2 ) with respect to similarly synthesized V[TCNE] x ·0.34(CH 2 Cl 2 ), presumably because of the much slower reaction of MeTCEC and V(CO) 6 .
