A synthesis and self‐assembly approach assisted by oleic acid is developed to fabricate luminescent Ln 3+ ‐doped LaVO 4 nanocrystals (NCs). These NCs are readily soluble and can spontaneously self‐assemble into an ordered nanoarchitecture in nonpolar solvents (see figure). The results should be significant in fabrication and processing of luminescent NCs if functional devices and materials are to be produced.
