Two‐dimensional ZnO nanosheets with ordered pore periodicity are synthesized via a colloidal crystal template assisted electrochemical deposition method. The nanosheets follow a preferable crystallization orientation along the {111} crystal plane family of the colloidal crystals. Ordered pore periodicity in free‐standing ZnO nanosheets, which are deposited on the three‐dimensional ZnO inverse opals, is also demonstrated.
