The thiophene‐substituted Ru(L)   3 2⊕complex shown in the Figure was synthesized and found to undergo polymerization when electrochemically oxidized. The electrochemical characteristics of the resultant polythiophene‐Ru(L)   3 n ⊕hybrid material were found to be a composite of those displayed by isolated Ru centers and the polymer prepared from the metal‐free ligand. This represents a promising approach to novel redox conductors.
