The production of molecularly isolaed polymers as molecular wires is a method of controlling the factors, such as microstructure, morphology, counter‐ion, etc., which influence the properties of the material. Here, porous Vycor glass is used as the host material, Cu 2⊕ ions which have been previously introduced into the 20–200 Å pores promoting the polymerization of pyrrole by reduction. The synthesis and properties of the new material are presented.
