High‐ T c superconductors and conducting polymers can be used to form composite structures that exhibit interesting properties (the Figure shows polypyrrole grown on YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7‐δ ). The polymers can be used to control the electrical properties of the thin film superconductor structure.
