Amphilic “Langmuir” monolayers , thin layers of type‐I superconductors ferromagnetic colloids (ferrofluids), and ferroelectrics are just some of the materials in which domains patterns, such as the labyrinthine stripe domain in a ferrimagnetic garnet film (see figure), and their evolution in response to changing experimental parameters are discussed.
