Insoluble polymerized cyclodextrin microparticles entrap antibiotics in bone cement. The cement is then implanted into total joint replacements and is used to treat prolonged infections. In article 1800812 , Horst A. von Recum and co‐workers show that this cyclodextrin‐based system has the ability to be refilled with drugs to extend therapy after implantation.
