In article 1701506 , Abdennour Abbas and co‐workers introduce a new rapid microbial detection method using nanoplate‐enhanced chemiluminescence. The method combines specific macromolecular shielding of the target bacteria with oxidative etching of triangular gold nanoplates to generate enhanced and stable chemiluminescence signals. The detection can be performed within one hour using a hand‐held luminometer.
