Biomedical applications of hydrogels are often hindered by the difficulty in controlling their temporal change in shape in vivo. This morphological change may cause not only the slippage from the installation site but also local nerve compression. On page 2360, T. Sakai and co‐workers show that the design of hydrogels that can retain their original shape and mechanical properties under physiological conditions is of great importance.
