The ability to test large arrays of cell/biomaterial combinations in 3D environments is still rather limited. On page 864 D. W. Hutmacher and co‐workers present a method and device combining additive manufacturing and bioreactor technologies which enable the generation and culture of arrays of 3D tissue engineered constructs in a highly automated and reproducible way.
