Alternation in local ionic microenvironments transforms the binding kinetics of pentameric C‐reactive protein to its receptor phosphorylcholine on a cell‐membrane‐mimetic surface. On page 1733 T. Goda and team show the biomimetic interface composed of a custom polymer and an organic bioelectronics to be a powerful tool in revealing the coherent picture of acute phase responses during inflammation and infection at molecular resolution.
