In article number 2007032, Wei Ma, Donghui Kou, and Shufen Zhang present a novel 1D photonic crystal film developed by integrating a thiourea‐containing nano copolymer layer with a mesoporous TiO 2 layer for ultrasensitive visual detection and effective removal of Hg 2+ in water, which makes the photonic crystal an ideal detector and adsorbent for Hg 2+ pollution at the same time.
