In article number 1805219 , Todd Emrick and co‐workers describe smart droplets, inspired by biological processes associated with cell recognition and signaling, for locating and transporting particulate materials on damaged substrates. This “clean and repair” process, in which particles are picked up from pristine regions of substrates and dropped off into damaged regions, has the potential to simplify methodology for materials restoration on both small and large scales.
