On page 7074, S. K. Kwak, S.‐Y. Lee, and co‐workers present janus‐faced, dual (ion/electron)‐conductive/chemically‐active battery separators based on hetero‐layered nanofiber mat architecture are presented as a new multifunctional membrane strategy to dispel this stereotypical belief about battery separators. Because of the material/structural uniqueness, the Janus separator enables significant improvements in the fast‐rate charge/discharge reaction and in the high‐temperature cycling performance far beyond those achievable with conventional battery separators.
