Structuring soft matter in aqueous environments is notoriously difficult, but desired in many fields of (bio) technology and engineering. Using a liquid crystal template, P. H. J. Kouwer and co‐workers demonstrate on page 2609 that it is now possible to orient self‐assembled fibres macroscopically. Moreover, the combination with photopatternable substrates gives full spatial control.
