On page 3357 , Wei‐Tang Yao and Shu‐Hong Yu outline recent advances that have demonstrated the importance of solution strategies in the determination of crystalline properties and the construction of matrices for the formation of a variety of different II‐VI semiconductor and hybrid nanocomposites. In particular, a reported mixed solvent approach offers an elegant and effective alternative for tuning semiconductor electronic and optical properties, and would be a general and highly desirable method for the synthesis of these highly technologically important nanocomposites.
