The effect of sputtering pressure is signifi‐cant on the microstructure, which in turn influences the mechanical characteristics of Mo films. Optimum conditions produce nanocrystalline Mo films with superior strength (H=25 GPa, Er=360 GPa). A sizemicrostructure‐mechanical property correlation in nanocrystalline Mo films is established.
