Displayed are a number of structures formed from bismuth thin fi lms using a novel, scanning laser‐induced dewetting technique. Modulated laser energy is focused upon the surface of the thin fi lm to induce a dewetting event. By scanning the beam across the surface, material is selectively remodeled into out‐of‐plane structures in a variety of patterns in a zero loss non‐ablative event. Further details can be found in the article by Anthony J. Ferrer and co‐workers on page 1167 .
