Nanoprotrusions on CNTs are engineered using conventional lab treatments at a low temperature. The experimental set‐up of applying a mild acid treatment with sonication and base washing is based on the development of introduced defects and vacancies. Compared with previous reports realizing selective metal depositions on individual carbon nanostructures, our work achieve a selective deposition of Pd nanoparticles on nanoprotrusions of CNTs in a bulk‐phase.
