The image shows the microstructure of a thermosensitive chitosan‐based hydrogel containing an elastin‐like polymer. Hydrogels containing such macromolecules may be interesting as injectable bioactive systems for tissue engineering applications as they can improve the biocompatibility and the mechanical properties of the scaffold.
