The influence of austenitic volume fraction, carbon concentration, and grain size on the behavior of multiphase TRIP steels is investigated by means of micromechanical modeling and finite element simulations. The present analysis allows to directly attribute overall mechanical characteristics to the corresponding microstructural parameters, which is a difficult task to perform experimentally.
