The Cu‐Zr‐Ag‐Al glassy alloy samples of 15 mm in diameter were formed in a wide composition range. The best glass‐forming ability (GFA) was recognized for Cu 36 Zr 48 Ag 8 Al 8 alloy, and the critical diameter achieved by copper mold casting was 25 mm. The high GFA was attributed to the deep eutectic composition, at which solidification occurs via homogeneous nucleation and limited growth rate of the nuclei. The Cu‐Zr‐based glassy alloys exhibited excellent mechanical properties.
