In this paper the authors investigate the idea if cellular interaction with the surface of titanium alloys can be influenced by the combination of substrate roughness and a bio‐membrane mimic. The phospholipid 1‐Palmitoyl‐2‐Oleoyl‐sn‐Glycero‐3‐Phospho‐ethanolamine (POPE) is used as coating for titanium alloy surfaces. It forms terrace like structures and increases MG63 cell adhesion.
