A relation between Δ S and n of bulk Zr base metallic glasses (BMGs) is developed, where Δ S denoted the mixing entropy difference between the liquid and the crystal, n is component number. In terms of this relation, n  > 4 ‐ 5 does not evidently increases Δ S which is related to the glass forming ability. The results are consistent with the corresponding critical cooling rates coming from the experiments.
