In article number 1900003, Feng Shen and co‐workers describe the advances in microfluidics‐based technologies, such as droplets, microwells, traps, and SlipChips, which have demonstrated unprecedented capabilities for single cell studies, and they have made high‐throughput single cell cultures possible. These microfluidic systems enable precise control of the microenvironment for single cell culture and monitoring of the behavior of single cells in real time.
