Vertically aligned carbon nanotubes mimic hairy‐like structures with brush‐type morphology. They are usable as tactile pressure and flow sensors displaying a high sensitivity and replicability. Biocompatibility and electrical conductivity qualify them as scaffolds for cell culturing and contacting. In article number 1700101 , Jörg J. Schneider highlights the field and sets the recent findings in perspective to the current state of the art.
