Amid many scandals, including allegations of sexual harassment, incorrect reporting on nursing homes and COVID‐19, and long‐simmering resentments about his management style, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced last week that he will resign effective Aug. 23. Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul will take his place.
