Last week, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra, along with Acting Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Tom Coderre, announced the HHS' newly created Behavioral Health Coordinating Council (BHCC). The BHCC is tasked with coordinating all federal government resources to address inequities and gaps within the mental health and substance use disorder system.
