Last week, the House Energy and Commerce Committee released a draft bill that was to be considered part of a COVID‐19 package on Feb. 11. The draft bill would allocate $1.75 billion to the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) block grant and would allow states until Sept. 30, 2025, to spend that money.
