If the adage holds true that most success in life lies in just showing up, then the alcohol treatment and recovery support community can claim at least one rousing victory in a tumultuous 2020. Many entities, ranging from brick‐and‐mortar outpatient treatment centers to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) groups, have credited virtual formats with a substantial increase in engagement, signaling that a trend necessitated by the COVID‐19 crisis could long outlive the pandemic's eventual resolution.
