With long‐range planning always having been a pivotal component of Doug Tieman's approach to leadership, it should come as no surprise that a retirement announcement released this month has been several years in the making. Tieman turned 65 this summer but tells ADAW that discussions to plan the transition from his leadership at Caron Treatment Centers began around the time of his 60th birthday.
