A new project aimed at raising awareness of the recovery coach role, as well as increasing opportunities for recovery coaches, convened for the first time last week. Called the recovery coaching “think tank,” the purpose of the project is also to focus on professionalism and the practice of recovery coaching, according to Jeff Quamme, executive director of the Connecticut Certification Board, who is acting as administrator for the project.
